2022 Declutter Challenge
In February of 2020, I had the idea to create the 1000 Declutter Challenge, which was simply to remove 1000 items from my home. I thought it sounded like a TON- but I surprised myself by not only completing it once, but twice since then! And believe it or not I STILL have more stuff that I’d like to leave our home.
I want 2022 to be the year that I finally feel like my home is completely, 100%, decluttered. I know that I will always have to do maintenance decluttering, but I’m tired of all of this extra stuff lurking and taking up my time, space and mental energy. I’m not sure if I have 2022 items left- but I’m prepared to try!
My plan is to complete the 2022 (or as close as I can) and pair it with the consumption tracker I made. While I’ve done a great job of decluttering in the past, because we haven’t really limited our consumption of products, the decluttering isn’t as impactful as it might otherwise be.
