Minimize the Mess March
Here’s an unpopular opinion- but despite what the decluttering experts say…you can declutter thousands of items and your house can still be a mess 🙃 I really thought that decluttering would solve my messinesss– but it didn’t. I’ve still got little messes all over the place because I haven’t taken the time to create organizational systems. I want to continue working on #operationhousetohaven, BUT I’m realizing for me- I’ve got to deal with the messes and organization BEFORE I get to the fun stuff (like decorating). SO, I’m going to buckle down and tackle as much mess as possible this month. I shared yesterday that you can do anything, but…

2021 Intentional Easter Baskets
This post shares how I create intentional/practical/fun Easter baskets for my boys, including how I plan, what is included and what types of “baskets” we use! Scroll down for unique ideas for both babies and toddlers! I want to first start off by saying that no matter how you choose to celebrate Easter (or any holiday) you are a good parent! Gift Ideas for Toddlers
These gift ideas for toddlers were thoughtfully curated as a former teacher with a background in child development… and as a mom to a 2.5 year old during a pandemic 😉 All items on this list are either ones that my toddler has and loves or ones that I have on his Christmas list this year. What I look for in toys are ones that are some combination of: open ended, long lasting, highly rated, educational, developmentally appropriate and fun! I also included lots of smaller gift ideas for thoughtful stocking stuffers- make sure to scroll to the bottom for those! I hope you find some gift ideas that the…

Christmas Book Advent Calendar
One of my favorite traditions growing up was our Christmas book Advent calendar. Each day of December we would receive one new holiday book to open and read together. We usually received a few new books each year, but for the most part, the same books were used year after year. Because they were put away after each Christmas, each year they always seemed “new” and exciting again! If you are just starting this tradition, it can seem like an overwhelming and expensive task! My hopes is that this blog post makes it easier for you by answering all of your questions: what books to include, where to find them,…

Best Educational Gifts for Babies 6-12 Months
Babies who are 6-12 months learn a ton of new skills in this short period of time. They learn how to roll, then sit, scoot, crawl, and pull up to standing all in these few months! Additionally, their brains are continuing to develop at a rapid pace, they are developing fine motor and language skills and are teething! My son will be 8.5 months at Christmas so I wanted to get him toys that will promote his development now and as he gets older and begins to master these skills. I am including some of his current favorites as well as some that are on his wish list! * This…
