New Year’s Reflection & Brainstorming Printables

The week between Christmas and New Year’s is one of my very favorites. I love goal setting and the feeling of a fresh start that the new year brings. I will be sharing my goal setting process in a series of blog posts as well as sharing tons of free printables for you to use. In this first post in the series I will be sharing my New Year’s reflection and brainstorming printables.
As we all know, 2020 was quite a mess of a year for our nation and world. Despite the hardships that it brought, I still wanted to take the time to reflect on the year and highlight some personal “highs and lows” before thinking about any goals that I might set for 2021.
I went through each category on the printable and tried to think about the highs and lows for each. This was the first year that I have ever done a reflection and I was surprised how much insight it provided me with. I learned that I accomplished more than I thought: I spent valuable time with my son, I had a healthy pregnancy and delivery and I decluttered and simplified our home a TON. I also identified several areas that were lacking in 2020 that I will then focus on in 2021: friendships, consistency with my blog and some home projects, to name a few!
After completing the reflection, I went through each category again and “brain dumped” some ideas for 2021 goals. I wrote down anything that came to mind, from big general goals, to more specific ones. I simply used it as a place to record some ideas so that I can create some more actionable and specific goals later on.
However, both sheets are very open ended, so feel free to use them however works best for you! I also included versions without predetermined categories so you can fill in your own.

I found you on IG and you speak to my heart with all your colors!
Would you consider doing a template like these titled with months so we can do a monthly reflection of our goals? Similar to how you’ve done with 2020 – except it’d say for example Jan Reflection?
