At home date idea: S’mores charcuterie board
One of my husband and I’s goals this year was to have more frequent date nights. Honestly…we haven’t been doing great at this goal. With a toddler, no family nearby and Covid, it has been really hard to make time for just the two of us. And by nighttime I am often exhausted (thanks to pregnancy!) BUT after doing this at home s’mores charcuterie board date, we realized that an intentional, at home date is better than nothing! Give this a try if you are in a similar situation!
S’mores charcuterie board date night details:
This is a pretty self explanatory date- but I basically went shopping for many different kinds of cookies, crackers and chocolate. I wanted as many different variaties as possible so that we could “mix and match”. I then set them up on a large cutting board (ours was made by my husband, but here is cute one on Amazon!) and we sat by the fire and tested out tons of different combinations!
What to include on your s’mores charcuterie board:
You can’t go wrong with any cookie, chocolate and marshmallow combination! Also think about adding fresh fruit or spreads. Here is what we included in ours:
- Oreos
- Girl Scout Cookies
- Striped cookies
- Chocolate covered graham crackers
- Ritz
- Pretzel Thins
- Brownie Brittle
- Reeses
- Caramel filled chocolate
- White chocolate
- Bananas
- Peppermint patties
- Peanut butter
- Caramel sauce
and the basics of course (graham crackers, marshmallows and Hershey’s chocolate!)
The possibilities are endless! Have fun with it and be sure to tag me if you try it so I can see yours!
