Pumpkin Spice Energy Bites
I am always looking for healthy snacks to have on hand– especially as a new mama (the breastfeeding hunger is real!) These are the perfect snack that can help satisfy a sweet tooth, while providing healthy, natural energy! They are filled with healthy fats and complex carbs that will help keep you full and energized.
Nursing mamas can add Brewer’s yeast to support milk supply. The flaxseed and oats are also great for lactation. These make a great snack for middle of the night nursing sessions — but can also be enjoyed by anyone, mom or not!
Here is how to make them:
Pumpkin Spice Energy Bites
These wholesome energy bites are a great source of natural energy for nursing mamas–and everyone else!
Ingredients
Wet Ingredients
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1/4 cup ground flaxseed meal
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1-2 tablespoons Brewer’s Yeast (optional-add for nursing moms)
Instructions

Combine peanut butter, pumpkin, honey and maple syrup in a large bowl.

Add vanilla, pumpkin pie spice and Brewer’s yeast (if using). Mix well.

Add oats, flaxseed meal, nuts, chocolate chips and combine.

Place dough in refrigerator for ~one hour to chill.

Roll into 1″ balls. Store in fridge or freezer!
Recipe Notes
If dough seems too sticky, add a few more tablespoons of flaxseed meal.
