"What We Have" Meal Planning Template

Every week I try and participate in #fullfridgefriday. This means that I meal plan, grocery shop and have my fridge “full” by Friday, leaving time for fun family time on the weekend and less time spent doing boring tasks like grocery shopping 😉

Despite how much I love the idea of a “full fridge” I am making the last week of every month different. I will use the last part of the month to use up what we already have in our fridge, freezer and pantry. This is something I want to incorporate monthly because 1. it helps prevent food waste & 2. it helps save money (which is especially great at the end of the month!)

I also want to stop making multiple trips to the grocery store throughout the week. I typically only plan for dinner and end up needing to make a trip or two midweek to get stuff for breakfast, lunch..or most often, snacks! #toddlerprobs So I made this quick printable to help me think of ideas for ALL meals!! It’s not a strict meal plan…but is a spot to brainstorm ideas based on what is already in our fridge/freezer/pantry. I need a few specific items for recipes and Henry, but it made my shopping list MUCH shorter than usual! ⁣

It is my hope that by using this printable at least once a month I will: waste less food, save more money and limit our grocery shopping to once a week. If you would like to try out the printable, click on the link below.
