Prioritizing printables!
Feeling overwhelmed? These free prioritizing printables will help you be more productive and feel less stressed. Add sticky notes and you can use them over and over again!
The first year or so of Henry’s life has been a season of constantly feeling overwhelmed and like I have 1038303 things to do at all times. Coupled with the change in identity from “prebaby Shelley” to mama and I just have a really hard time figuring out what to focus on once I have a little time to myself. Should I clean the house? Work on the blog? Declutter a room? Sleep? Workout? And once I decide, do I have time to do it all before he wakes up?!
Needless to say, I’ve tried many different methods of accomplishing my to-do list. The most successful methods for me have all related to prioritizing. Here are my two favorite ways to prioritize as well as some free printables to help you get started:
Order your priorities from least to most important
Do a “brain dump” and write ALL the things that you need to accomplish down. Don’t overthink this list or try and make it pretty, just write down all the things on your mind. Next, write all of your tasks on sticky notes and use this printable to prioritize your tasks from least to most important. Using sticky notes allows you to move them around as needed and take them off once they are complete. Using sticky notes also enables you to reuse the printable over and over again!
You can easily draw this on a piece of paper or in your journal, but if that’s not your thing. Here is a simple printable version!
This printable works best with small sticky notes. I suggest the small rectangular post it notes or the page flag size.
Pick your top four
If seeing a million tasks is overwhelming to you, try picking the top four (or 2 or 3 even!) most important items that would make the biggest difference if they were accomplished today. Choose your top priorities, write them on a sticky note and place them on this printable. You can choose daily priorities or weekly priorities (both printables are included!) Simply replace the sticky notes each day or each week and use the printable again!
This printable works best with the regular, square post it notes.
FAQ: Where to keep your printables?
You know the phrase, “Out of sight, out of mind?”…my favorite place to keep my printables like this, is somewhere that can be seen! I personally keep them on a clipboard and hang it on the wall or carry it around with me from room to room. Other good options are hanging them on the refrigerator or a bulletin board!
I hope that these prioritizing printables help eliminate some stress in your life and increase your productivity!
