Sticky Note Meal Plan Template

Another day, another way to use sticky notes 😉 This probably the most simple, yet practical way yet.

I made a simple meal plan template a few weeks ago and I’ve loved using it. I just used 25 cent scrapbook paper from Hobby Lobby, a black pen and sticky notes. When I posted it on Instagram, several of you requested a printable version– so here it is!

It couldn’t be easier to use. I display it on the side of the fridge or in a frame in the kitchen (no more “What’s for dinner?”)! Each week all I have to do is replace the sticky notes with this week’s meals. And the best part is that if something comes up in the middle of the week (or that meal just doesn’t sound good that night) I can easily just switch the sticky notes around! I tend to stray from meal plans that are too strict, so this flexible approach has been working great for us! Being able to actually stick to a “meal plan” has helped us eat healthier and save a lot of money (because we aren’t making frequent trips to the grocery store or out to eat!)

Materials for the Sticky Note Meal Plan Printable

Other than a printer, the only essentials are 8×11″ paper and sticky notes! You will need the small square sticky notes that are ~2×2″ (they are available on Amazon, but at Target, Walmart, etc too).

I love how the printables look when printed on patterned scrapbook paper. I just picked up a few pieces from Hobby Lobby that matched my kitchen decor. But of course, white printer paper works just as well!

If you want to frame your sticky note meal plan template, then you will also need an 8×10″ frame. I just used a basic white one that I had on hand, but any that you like will work fine! The turquoise frame in the pictures was one that I painted from the Dollar Tree!

There are two different versions of the printables (as well as two different designs). Please note that all printables are black and white–some have colored backgrounds because I printed them on patterned scrapbook paper 😉

This first set is full size. Print this size if you want to hang it on your fridge, put in a binder, on a clipboard, etc.

The second set of printables is slightly smaller. I made this size so that you can frame it if you would like to! To use them in a frame, print the template on a normal 8.5×11″ piece of paper. Then remove the glass from an 8X10 frame and center it over the template. Trace the glass and then cut on those lines. Then simply place in the frame! You can put your sticky notes directly on the glass.
